Just ordered a pay monthly SIM only deal and during checkout it asked if my device was 5g witch it is so selected that on the assumption that I would get 5G as well if device supports it as I couldn't see any plans percific for 5G so my question is will I get 5G as in the SIM pack it says I'd need to be on a 5G plan ? If that's the case are cancel it as can get same deal with 5G included at no extra cost , I bought the 12GB For £12 offer if helps , thanks

All O2 tariffs are now 5g at no extra cost.

I’ve now just got a iPhone 12 with the 250GB Data plan new sim came with phone will it be 5G enabled if and when I’m in a 5G Area as asked the question on the FB msg chat and they seem to think there not and would need a 5G Sim , doesn’t that defeat the object of buying a 5G phone , this is what they said

“This isn't the case we're afraid. You'd need to be using a 5G sim in order to access 5G. Would you like us to look to get one sent out to you?

Surely the new sim that came with my iPhone 12 5G is 5G enabled ??

Yes the new sim you received is definitely 5G capable
