Sim can't won't activate

I am absoultley fuming right now! I can't activate my sons sim as it doens't work in his phone. o2 keep saying they will send a text but the phone can't receive them!

This happened in his old phone, suddenly stopped working, new sim sent, didn't work. I assumed the phone was broken, I have saved up to upgrade his phone (5 month sof o2 bills being paid even though he couldn't use it) asked for a new sim, and it still isn;'t working.

Can't talk to anyone on the phone, no live chat and emails not being answered.

Can anyone please help me before I scream?!
