Changing tariff prices?

What is the difference between switching my exisiting tariff or cancelling and getting a pay monthly sim instead?

I have switched to a one-month rolling contract and have paid off my device plan.

If I select "change tariff" the recommended deal is unlimited minutes and texts + 25GB data for £35/month.

If I look at sim only deals I can get 100GB for £20/month, including free roaming and Disney+.

Why is the difference in price so huge?

What do I keep by choosing "change tariff" that I would lose by going sim only?

Choose the Upgrade Now option in My O2 and then scroll to the sim only deals

Changing your tariff instead will give you less options and more expensive options

You get a better deal by UPGRADING

The only benefit of changing tariff is that you keep any discounts or free bolt ons that you already have.

Upgrading will lose those but maybe give you a better deal overall.
