changing tariffs%20through%20carphone%20warehouse

I am switching tariffs but still with O2. I'm doing this through Carphone warehouse and have been sent a new sim. how do I

1) keep my number as it looks like the new sim has a new number.

2) keep all the data I have on the phone (photos, contacts etc.)

3) make the switch, does my old tariff stop automatically if that makes sense.

Just call customer service and ask them to migrate your old number to new contract.

Your stuff on the phone won't change.
