does anyone know how to find out the mobile number?

Try phoning CS with the serial number on the card.

Hi. If you can put your sim in a SonyE and go to tools-general-scroll down to Phone Status-ok. This should tell you the number the sim originally came with , but not if you have transfered it since from another sim or net work.(Or a quicker way just briefly press the bottom of the volume switch).
This works in both my SE k530i and w910i.

Hi, I suspect that this has already been solved but another solution is to ring *#100# on your mobile and the number will appear on your display.

*#100# (as far as I'm aware) only works with vodafone

As no one actually answered your question, even though it's several years late:

"Text NUMBER to 2020 – it's free to send this text and we'll reply with your phone number."

Found this through google, supposed to be from this O2 page but I haven't actually been able to find the quoted information on that link.
