Do I need a bolt on to use my mobile in Zante? How much if so? If not, will I be charged for texts and data usage over and above monthly plan?

Make sure when you call customer services, you check you have NO roaming bar on your account.

Also it's good idea to make use of any free wifi available. You may find your data speeds are better.

You'll be fine, Greek islands use the Greek networks and the Ionian island like Zakynthos only pick those up unlike ones near Turkey like Kos.

Set your phone to manual selection rather than automatic so that you only connect to the Greek network too.
