Upgrade not due!!

Why are o2 calling about upgrade when still got 6 months left of contract.

For last week or so been getting calls from 0344 826 0202. Didn't answer as was wary it was spam call but Googled it and saw it was o2 upgrades. Now getting texts from them asking best time to call me about upgrade.

Why??? Contract still has 6 months to go.

Hi @smc it is O2 https://who-called.co.uk/Number/03448260202 However if you have no wish to upgrade then just block the number. They should NOT be harrassing you with calls to upgrade. You are far better doing it yourself when you are ready...

Also we always advise people not to take out a new contract or upgrade via a cold call...Often the people calling are not who they say they are...O2 employ a lot of 'trusted partners'...and therein lies the problem

I would say it is a Trusted partner 'working on behalf of O2'. Same applies. Block the number.

You could get missold an upgrade which doesn't really meet your needs. Just gives them commission. Avoid at all costs. .

So I was right to be suspicious!!!

Not sure I would have been if it wasn't still 6 months till my contract ends though.

@smcNever upgrade from a cold call. We give this advice constantly. Even if you are close to contract end it is far better you make your own choices either via the O2 online shop or by going instore. Only that way will you guarantee to get exactly what you want....(at a time to suit yourself)

If they are offerin 40% discount then yes, a scam

Don't accept any deal from a cold call

If in doubt block the number
