topic porting number in Pay Monthly

hi all i wonder if you can help. I have ported my number across from Vodafone and this happened today. Strangely, whilst texts and call from contacts etcs are coming thorugh to the new o2 phone when i send a test text message from my work blackberry, this is going to the old vodafone handset. My work phone is also on the vodafone network, not sure if this is a coincidence. Also when will the old vodafone sim card be deactivated ?

thanks

Hi @Anonymous It could take 24 hrs to fully port across. When your Vodafone sim stops working this means the port has started. Keep rebooting your phone to check if you are getting an O2 signal. This link includes info about porting from another network to O2 and keeping your original number

http://www.o2.co.uk/help/phones-sims-and-devices/how-to-keep-your-mobile-number

If the port is not complete by tomorrow then give CS a call http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

If you are getting calls to both sims on the same number, somethings not right.
The old sim should switch off first.
If not resolved in 24 hours call CS as you may have a split port.
