Snooping around on these forms and it appears if you pay off your handset you can cancel the airtime with 30 days notice. Now I assumed 02 only waved the remaining airtime if you upgraded. (ie bought a new handset on loan)

Could someone confirm either way.

Refresh allows you to pay off the handset and walk away, or upgrade immediately or just stay on sim only.

If you pay off your device you can cancel your air time without any further charge. It isn't necesary to upgrade. If you want to you could use your phone with any network, provided it's unlocked, which you should do before you pay off the device.

Some say you pay a little more for refresh but it's great if you like to swap phones regularly.
