viridis prediction or the official HTC one? Although very select displays have QHD, 1080P is still very standard and there's many that believe anything higher on a ~5" display is unecessary. If you compare the Note 3's 1080P vs Note 4's QHD for instance, there's an impressive difference but in my humble opinion that's due to the colour improvement and display tech - in terms of crispness and clarity, it's difficult to see the advantage of the extra resolution. Don't get me wrong, it's there, but you need to look incredibly closely.
The 1080P display worked brilliantly on the HTC One M8 so for HTC to stick with it and improve the rendering/software behind it, I think it's a safe bet from them.

HTC's - It just smacks of cheap these days when QHD is considered as standard for a flagship device imo.

1080p is still pretty much a defacto size until 4K UHD movie files become the norm anyway.

Tablet Z4?
Any update
Nothing yet I'm afraid, but it's likely you'll see an official release date from Sony before anyone else and at present that doesn't seem to exist. As soon as we have any information we can share I'll be sure to update everyone on the existing thread we have for it.
