Its best to have the choice, rather than donate everyones reward to charity. Also at this time of year, every penny comes in useful. I've nothing against giving donations to chartity (I have a select few charities that are close to my heart, which I give something to when I can).

The rewards system, is a nice gesture of appreciation for the time and effort the members put in on here, and for that reason, I don't have an issue with it.
