cocosus it is always wise to shop around when you get the opportunity to (at the end of your current contract) as different companies are offering competative deals regarding their contracts.  For example Carphone Warehouse are offering money back on some contracts.  Some companies also offer free gifts.

Some companies who also offer O2 contracts are: Carphone Warehouse, Phones4U.  You could also look at other networks if you want to.

At the end of the day, you need to look for the best deal for you - the one which provides the text, call and data allowance that you need at the cheapest price.

If you don't want refresh you will have to upgrade through CPW or Phones4U
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

They are same, only if you are due upgrade you may get little bit better offer from CS. Call 202 and try to ask them first before you go somewhere as

If you decide to check out other networks please DO NOT rely on website coverage checkers. Get a free payg sim and try it out in a handset first at the main places you use your mobile.

Then you will know what signal you get.
