sim swap

I received my new phone at 1pm today and arranged the sim swap (keeping the same number). My old phone says no signal and new phone has full signal, but I'm only getting texts come through to my old phone? I can text and call from my new phone and the other person receives it but when they reply goes to the old phone? Is there something I'm doing wrong

If texts are going to the other phone then the sim in that phone is still active. What happens when someone calls you? It sounds like the sim swap hasn't gone through.

As @jonsie has said the sim swap may not have gone through, I'd see in the morning if the sim swap has completed then if the problem still persists I'd call cs on 202 contract or 4445 payg

As @MI5 says though, if it's an iphone and friends are texting from iphones they could be going through as imessages to the old phone. It would need the number amending in the old phone and the new phone. Perhaps the OP will come back with more info.

Thank you. Yes the old phone is an iPhone 5c and the new one a Samsung galaxy. I've now turned off wifi on iPhone. I had contacted o2 and they said it can take a few hours for the old sim to be deactivated which I thought was a bit strange
