mobile broadband top up

Why can I not top up with Maestro anymore.

Most banks have stopped issuing Maestro cards and there are many stores not accepting them now. It was a business decision that O2 made. You can top up at a cashpoint or buy a voucher from a retailer. Your bank will exchange your Maestro for a Visa debit card.

Possibly due to mobile broadband requiring an allowance to be selected on each top up, they are purely toped up via the web interface here with a debit or credit card.
