Sorry I mispelled it, it should have been Palantír. A seeing-stone or a magic ball if you like from the Tolkien Middle Earth. A bit like the dodgy fortune tellers have at seaside resorts.

I did @jonsie Though admit to struggling with  @anticpated definition of Palantir. I thought it was an American software company....

I double checked (Thank you Google) and I was right...and so was @anticpated

I'm not wrong about some stuff...Palantír. And here's another piece of useless information for you. The band Marillion derived their name from the Tolkien book ,The Silmarillion. Anyway hope you got the problem sorted.

And actually I did know that one @anticpated  Marillion used to be a big favourite with my eldest son back in the day

A little but not as much as some. It helps to understand the films better at least.

I enjoy the films and I'm sort of wading through the vast array of books that my son has left here when he moved to Berlin....there's a full bookcase of them so I've enough material to see out the rest of my life
