international calls

Please help me out with this! I bought the SIM card yesterday and put 10 pounds on the account and today I have chosen 3 international numbers for calling but even though I can see on My O2 that this service-of calling 3 numbers abroad is ready to use-still I am not able to do so even after I put additional 10 pounds voucher today on my phone. To be worse, when I ask to check my balance it says to be 0 pounds?!  What should I do-it is frustrating and dissapointing. There should be straightforward and honest directions regarding this issue.
