Your first bill will have been produced but payment is due 14 days after the billing date. So as long as the funds are available in your account by the due date you should be fine.

Why would you take out a contract when you knew you had no money in your account? You'll need to try to call Customer Services first thing in the morning to try to sort it out. A bit late tonight to do anything about it.

It's possible that if they try to take the money and there are no funds that they'll just cancel the contract, but you may not be able to take out another.

Thanks for clarifying that, jonsie. I think I misunderstood the OP's query. It wasn't my intention to put the frighteners on, but there should be funds in an account if they're taking out a contract.

No worries and hopefully @jam3s1234 will ensure funds are in the account for subsequent payments too.

Also setting up a direct debit to ensure payments are made on time is the best way to go. Certainly better for the OP's credit rating and is a worry free way of paying

If it's a new contract a DD would have been set up at point of sale.

I understood from the original post that a direct debit is in place as the OP was worried about insufficient funds in the account.
