What is the best option for data?

Hello,

Could you please tell me what would be the best option on a contract for data.

I have sim only with 1gb right now but somehow this is running out very quickly on my phone, I'm not sure how it is being used so quickly, I had a 1gb and 3gb dongle before and they lasted a lot longer when used on a laptop.

I am only using data through my phone but I would like to tether by using my phone as a wireless hotspot for my laptop, would this be different usage?

I don't make many calls at all and don't use anywhere near the limit for message (It could be unlimited but I don't need that), the main thing I need is more data.

Could anyone tell me what my best option would be for sim only?

Thanks very much,

John

Completely depends on usage pattern on phone and laptop.
For just browsing and emails, 3gb to be safe.
If streaming or downloading, then 8-10gb
If general browsing with the odd YouTube video or spotify ect, then 5gb should suffice

Something maybe worth doing is a data audit - check your apps - a fair few have wifi only options which can save on unnecessary data usage if they are not vital.

If what you need most is data you should see if you get good coverage where you are with Three. They have also made a bid for O2, which is likely to go through, so you'd just be ahead of the game.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
