Ah, you do realise that the contract is a minimum term of 24 months so it will continue on at the current tariff at which point you can give 30 days notice to terminate the contract? So if you could in theory just keep on paying until you come back and sort it out.
Though its not particularly well known (apart from on here!), that if you are posted to a theatre of war you could actually get out of the contract with no penalty - subject to confirmation of course.
Otherwise, if you can, try a UK proxy server and see if it works that way.
