Using my phone in spain

Hi i'm mhairi. I'm travelling to costa del sol next month and wondering will i be charged more for using my phone when i'm there please

it would depend on if you can get access to data.

tugo uses the internet to send/receive messages and make calls, so if you are on wi-fi it will work and use your inclusive allowance and cost nothing extra.

if you are on mobile data only then that will likely work out more expensive (depending on usage).

if you are only going to send a few texts, then opt out of the o2 travel.

if you are going to "max it out" then you may be better leaving it on.

an alternative that many have chosen is to unlock your phone, get a different sim (from a uk network if they have free roaming, or a local network) and use tugo.

again all this depends on how much you are going to use while you are away...

Just wanted to add that using Tu is using your UK inclusive calls and texts.
