Hi does anyone know how to set limits on call charges or even notifications when call costs go over a certain amount?

Thanks Toby, I'm sure it would be well received if it could be done.

There really should be an option to limit a monthly bill. It's not just children, there are many irresponsible and immature adults with contracts who would be far better off with payandgo though the latest smartphone for some is the be all and end all.

Problem is jonsie. The people who are irresponsible probably would not dream of setting a limit slight_frown

Correct and they are the first to scream because they aren't adult enough to manage and control their account. There are many threads on here asking why O2 don't inform them if they go over their call allowance. Sad but some people of 18 plus find it easier to blame others for their own shortcomings.

All very true but in reality, the system that bills the calls is always a few hours behind, and a lot of calls and additional charges can be created in that space of time, so the warnings/reminders wouldn't be reliable. It would just generate complaints... it was possible many moons ago and that's what happened so now it's not offered.

It's called maturity....If you are mature enough to take out a contract you should be mature enough to take responsibility for your own usages surely?

It generates complaints whether there is that feature or not. People who can't manage their own usage are the first to come on here and complain when their bill is high...or they are cut off for non payment of said high bill slight_frown

True. It's just not worth the hassle, I think...
