any way since i got my new 02 number ive been reciving call from a unknown number (blocked cant see the number) almost every day 1 to 3 times per day.
When i pick up the phone there is nothing at all at the other end just silence.
Now i did call support and mention this but all i got in return was the only thing you can do is change number.... umm i think not.
Now i know it is possible to trece these kind of calls due to privacy and criminal laws.
So any suggestions on what i can do ?
PS: have no idea if this is the right place to post this

There are facilites on mobiles that you can block uknown calls. but this will block any one that has call id with held or puts 141 in front of your number.
There is a website that you can register your mobile. (TPS Telephone pref service) but agian this takes over 28 days months to register in the uk and is really for call centers etc.

Contact O2 again and ask for your case to be referred to the NCB and they will then contact you back within so many working days.

i sent a email to o2 suppoert again and all i got back was a template station what has been stated before.
Now i know there can be something done with it without me having to change my number.

Let me see what best I can do to help you.
Firstly, I apologise for all the auto-mated you received from us. Yes,
you're right the Nuisance Call Bureau does investigate this matter, but,
this is only after you've changed your mobile number. However, if you
wish to speak to the Nuisance Call Bureau team you can call our friendly
customer services team on 0870 600 3009 who'll transfer your call to our
Nuisance Call Bureau team and they'll be happy to help you. They're
- Monday to Friday between 8am-9pm
- Saturday and Sunday between 8am-8pm.
Calls to the above mentioned number are free from any O2 mobile and are
chargeable at national rate from any other service providers and fixed

If they are UK companies and you tell them you are registered with the TPS, it's usually a grovelling apology and they don't call again.
