Problem with internet when not using WiFi

I was away at the weekend, and didn't have access to WiFi and my phone (LG Optimus Chat) just wouldn't connect to the internet :smileysad:
I don't know what to do, can anyone help??

try comparing your settings with the ones posted here http://mobileguide.o2.co.uk/devices/device.jsp?deviceId=663&tab=8&step=2&settingId=3295 not the same phone but an lg android phone
