Paying online

Why is it soooo difficult to make a payment online ? I don't want to use the phone - I just want a simple "make a one off payment" facility on the app or on main website page !! 3 days I've been looking - it's not there. Phoned and told a customer service bod I'm not willing to give my debit card details over the phone as the only time I can call is in my lunch break and I'm in a public place. Sort it O2 - be more dog ffs!

I'm not sure where you are looking but a 'make a payment' link is readily available in My O2, both in the app and also on the web version.

If you're a Pay Monthly customer you should be paying by Direct Debit. If you did you would avoid all the problems you're currently having. O2 Customer Service is open past normal working hours. You don't have to be in a public place to call and give them your details to set up a DD.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Also the payment phone number is automated, you don't have to say your card details outloud, just key them in.

Hi there,

Seriously consider setting up a direct debit!

In fact if you're on contract you'll have had one set up in the first place but have cancelled it?

As stated above go into "myO2" and click on make a payment.

Yes, paying by direct debit is fun. O2 made a mistake on my bill and ended up charging me £2,000.  My account could have accepted this direct debit, when I contacted O2 they said too late to stop but we will refund very quickly.

I wouldn't set up a direct debit with O2 if they paid me too.  If they were a financial services company they would be called crooks.
