Pay monthly tariff

I have a pay monthly sim only, this gets me unlimited calls and texts and 1gb of data for £21.. Received an email from O2 saying they have looked at my data usage and they have a better offer for me for an extra £5 a month they will give me 2gb of data. So I would be paying £26... a month. Yet if I want to upgrade my sim and get a new one, I can get the unlimited calls and texts plus 2gb of data for £22 a month! Why was I not offered this deal by O2. Only issue I have with not getting the new sim is, they don't send micro sims out plus I don't want to change my number.

You can get a micro sim, if you specifically ask for one and your number can be transferred to another sim, so no need to change numbers either.

I asked for a micro sim when I bought my pay monthly deal and transferred my number over to it. When I got the sim in the post they had sent me an ordinary sim. It was a hassle then trying to get a replacement micro sim, which I had to then get the data and number transferred on to it.

It shouldn't be a hassle but things do go wrong occasionally, I guess.....

You should hopefully get the right one this time. Tariffs change all the time so this specific deal might not have been available at the time

When I changed tariff recently they sent me a new sim, it was a combined sim, all the sizes were there you just had to pop out the size you needed.

If changing network providers isn't an issue, the OP should shop around. There are much better deals on offer elsewhere for the prices she's being quoted from O2.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

Definitely shop around or go for a sim only deal. I spoke to retentions and went for the 3GB  with unlimited minutes and texts for £20 and managed to get a £4/month loyalty discount with a free accessory kit thrown in. Definitely worth asking the question and I didn't need a new sim.
