On an old tarrif (simplicity) and going abroad

Hi All

I am on a very old tarrif (unlimited data, 600 minutes, 2000 text allowance) which works well for me.

In the past when abroad a text used to count as 4 from my allowance.

I know most pay monthlies have unlimited texts nowadays and are 40p per text, however as im on the ancient tarrif does the '4 texts abroad' still count?

As 'unlimited' is now deemed to be only 4GB the only real advantage of the legacy tariffs are the price and the overseas texts.

I think it's literally only the overseas texts, as having just looked at current tariffs on offer, you can get a 12 month sim only tariff with unlimited UK calls and texts and 3GB of 4G data for £20/month. I would be surprised if the OP is paying less than that, and he's limited to 3G data as well.
