O2 WiFi problem

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hello,
I have got a problem connecting to any o2 WiFi.
My phone connects fine, I have an IP address assigned but when I try surfing it doesn't work.
If I use the browser, for any website I try to see, it goes again on the WiFi homepage.
I found another post about it I think it is the same issue; in that post the person changed mobile (same thing I did) so I me I changed and he had to unregister from o2 and register again.
I have already tried just registering ( having a code sent twice by text) but it doesn't work.
How can I fully unregister from o2 WiFi then?
Is this the only workaround?

Thanks

Antonio

Try the process described here.
The problem is not your device registration but the account registration which has to be cleared from O2's end http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Other-Products-Services/O2-Wifi-At-London-Underground-Not-able-to-conne...
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Hi

Have you tried forgetting the network in your wifi settings.

I've not had the issue you mention connecting to O2 wifi or the Bt Wifi fortunately.

I understand it's frustrating when something like free to all wifi doesn't work for some reason.

I'm sure someone else will be along with some more tricks to try. slight_smile

O2 links.

I have already tried forgetting the network but I think, as I said, the problem relays on the network not forgetting which phone is associated with me ( hope it does make sense).
Thanks anyway

Yes, that's exactly the problem - see the link I gave you above.
