Number not transferred by 8:40pm, any hope?

Hi everyone,

Ive transferred my number between networks quite a few times over the years, so I know what to look for on transfer day.  My number should have gone over to o2 today yet still nothing.  Ive spoken to the online agents during the day and rang customer services after 6 as the text I received said it should have been done by then.

There's still no sign, both numbers active, signal as normal.  What should I do?

You need to get onto EE and get them to release your number manually.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Notorious for delaying number transfers 😞
You'd be advised to call EE to check at their end that all is progressing OK.

Hi and welcome. I assume as you have done this before many times that you will have tried this but have you tried turning your phone on and off a few times to try to get the network to lock to your phone?

No point rebooting the O2 sim until the EE one turns off....

It seems that number transfers between O2 and EE are fraught with delays and never seem to go smoothly. Many instances posted on here about problems between the two networks, each blaming the other.

Hope you get it sorted this morning.
