New SIM not yet activated?

Anonymous

Hello!

A few days ago I ordered my upgrade to renew my contract, which expires on the 14th October. (It's a 1 month early upgrade due to o2 Refresh).

Received it yesterday, it came with a new 4G SIM, although it isn't activated yet. My old SIM still works.

Do I just keep using the old SIM until the contract expires, and then change to the new one? Or is there a delay on activating the new SIM?

Thanks.

Perform the swap swap here http://swapmysim.o2.co.uk

If your newly chosen phone takes a different sized SIM card.

If not then just carry in using your original sim and it all change to the new tariff.

Sim swaps are normally anything from 15 mins up to 24 hours. Best to do it now as there will a lot of swaps going through Friday/Saturday.

If your moving to a 4G tariff then if your original SIM card does not say 4g on it then your better off sim swapping to the new one sent.
