My two year contract is about to finish and I will be leaving 02; will keep my Galaxy S5 phone as it does all I want and will use BT mobile as I have BT broadband at home. BT mobile will be £8 per month for 2GB data; little yse of minutes and texts. Euro travel will cost more but offset by much cheaper monthly contract.
I assume I need to get my phone unlocked and get my PAC as I want to keep my existing phone number?
How do I get my phone unlocked and my PAC?

I will now transfer my S5 phone to BT.
Must be coincidental @athgen1. Good news anyway

I should have put :-; at the end of my last post.
Ok so all seems to have gone well do far. Using the "temp" BT number on the new sim. Have text from BT saying PAC received and transfer will take place on 25th.
As the 02 sim is still active, for the next few days, I tried to use it in an old 02 HTC Desire, that was never unlocked. I had to use a micro sim adapter to get it in the HTC. However on reboot I get the message "No SIM card in phone"
I guess the only way to use that sim for the next few days is in the S5?

Yes I understand that but may need phone tomorrow on old number; do not intend to advise others of the "temp" number.
Also thank you to you all for the advice you have given.

Found reason no SIM.
In HTC sim needs to be in "upside down"
Now working.
