Am currently looking at switching to O2 for the £35 iPhone tariff, however I'm currently with Orange and my contract with them isn't due to expire until February 23rd 2009.
Would o2 help me buy out from my current contract in order to switch to them sooner or not?
I went into Phones4U and they were happy to help me buy out of my contract in order to switch to Vodafone, but I didn't mention O2 at the time. Also they don't stock the iPhone!
Any input would be greatly appreciated

I don't think other companies do that. I doubt that O2 would pay money to gain another iPhone customer.
I'm afraid you'd have to buy out the Orange contract yourself, or wait till the end of your contract.
Have you tried CPW, they are licensed to sell the iPhone?

I decided to go ahead and buy out from the Orange contract yesterday, only costing £80 which is a lot less than I expected. When that's paid I'll be off to an o2 shop
