Does proper PAYG no longer exist?

Anonymous
Not applicable

I'm currently on PAYG with the "Text Anytime" tariff, but never use the 300 text messages in the month I top up.

When I look at the other options, they all seem to require monthly payment, which seems to defeat the point of PAYG.  Not only that, but the cheapest one is £10, which is about twice as much as I currently spend (including my £3 data bolt-on, which is usually enough as there's wifi pretty-much everywhere these days).

Does true PAYG no longer exist?

Yes, it's been around for ages but recently the web page was removed and when we asked about it was told no longer available.
Maybe they realised their mistake?

It is good to know you can get it if you push. We were definitely told it was no longer available People up till recently could only get it by 'invite'.... They should advertise it in. ...

My daughter recently got a new sim she wanted it for back up and she added £10 credit it was put to a bundle straight away but when she rang up the advisor put it back to credit alone.
