O2 have disconnected me because I did not know that the bill was separate to the device plan but paid my bill and now I have to pay the device plan which I'm willing to pay and now they want £30 connection fee

Yes, many would agree that lines of communication could be much better.

So now If I wanted to be back with O2 I have to be £30 out of pocket all because they could not contact me to let me know, because my bill was due on Monday gone which was paid and disconnected me on the 22nd all because the device Direct debit

That would appear to be the case however you could try calling CS in the morning to see if they will waive the reconnection fee

The thing is when you are on Refresh there are two bills to be paid as the link shows clearly. Not sure they will accept any excuse really

I would respectfully suggest you put the direct debits back in place as O2 don't give much time before disconnecting a phone after a payment is overdue.

The reconnection fee is down to you not paying the bill, not because o2 didn't contact you. You get a text and an email when bills are available online.

True. I have had both email and text whilst here in Spain. My bill is due on the 23rd of the month and I get the same every month. In fact the text allows you to access My O2 via the app without signing in...
