Bill from 3 years ago

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hi basicly my phone was blocked today. When i have spoken to payments ect i was informed that my old phone from 3 years ago has an outstanding balance of £400 and as it is linked to my current phone that is why i have lost service. My issue is that i traded in my old phone under the refresh scheme in 2013. I have never had any issues with service since then and have never received a bill ect for the old phone. As i was under the impression the old phone had to be paid off for the upgrade this has come as a shock. Now im being told i have to pay which i cant afford to do in one go or the £67 per month payment plan. No one has given an explanation as to why this has suddenly come about after 3 years and why i am only just hearing about this now. I dont see why i should be expected to pay for something that was as far as im concerned a closed payed acount.

That's an outrageous and completely unrealistic situation you've been put in.
You need to call back to CS to get to the bottom of this, why it's taken so long and why now?

and I would also send @Toby a pm to see if he can find out any more info for you.

sounds like a collection clean up. companies do this from time to time. you will need to call then and dispute the bill they claim is unpaid. I would also register a complaint this should have be raised when you rejoined the network.
