I'm due an upgrade on my O2 contract but have been very disappointed with the choices avaialble through the website.
I looked on a few price comparison websites and found a few great deals on Samsung Galaxy S2s. What is strange, to me, is that these deals are with O2 but cost half of what they're asking for directly. I called up thinking they'd still be able to match the deal - since whatever happens they'll be providing the network - but was basically fobbed off with the same stuff they display online.
Can anybody explain this to me? I really don't understand why it seems so much more expensive to get an upgrade directly through O2, especially when I've been a loyal customer for over six years.
Further to that, what are my options if I take up a new contract from one of the websites I found? Can I easily transfer the number or would it be drawn out in the same way as if I changed networks?
