Call 202 yourself to check.
If genuine it will be recorded on your account.
Your offer sounds like a 3rd party to me tbh and not o2.

If it sounds too good to be true it probably is. I would think its one of O2 'trusted partners.'...

Have you got the phone number by any chance?

thanks for your answer, they said that I have too change my sim card with one they will post to me, so probably you are right it is a 3rd party, and not O2.

Probably to be avoided @Anonymous I would never take out a contract with anyone who cold called me.

You may find yourself tied into a 2 year contract that is unsuitable over the long term. Some people have found themselves given a business contract .....

That confirms it.

O2 would just change it on your account so you would keep the same sim.

A 3rd party needs to get the sim activated to get their commission.

Obviously if it was a change of contract type too but that wasn't mentioned on this thread.

And still risky buying anything from a cold call in my opinion...We see so many problems associated with new contracts set up via this route...
