new to o2 and not receiving texts on iphone 6s

I started my o2 contract on Friday and my old number was transferred to this new contract today. It seems to have worked - when I call people it comes up with my old number. I did have to manually enter the number in settings->phone->my number but it did work before I did that too. I can receive imessages but i cannot receive text messages. Any ideas on what I should do? I have done countless restarts throughout the day to no avail. I also noticed in the mobile data section that the mobile data address is wap.vodafone.co.uk - I have just moved from vodafone so is this incorrect? I am worried my vodafone contract won't be terminated.

thanks for any help and advice you can offer

It's still porting across by the sounds of it.
Give it a reboot again every hour and see how it goes.

by reboot do you just mean turn off and on, or resetting the phone?

thanks, and particularly thanks for your patience with me, everyone!

Yes, just turn off and on to refresh the network connection.

VM help here http://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Other-Products-Services/All-you-need-to-know-about-O2-Voicemail-901/m-p...
Try dialing 1760 to turn vm off then 1750 to turn it back on again and see if it resets it for you.
If not, you may have to call CS to get it reset.
