advice about a text message from o2

I have just received a text message from o2 saying "Hi, you recently bought something from O2 protect by charging it to your mobile bill. We would like to ask you a few questions about using this service."

 

I have not bought anything recently, how do I check that I am not being charged for something I haven't purchased? Why have I received this message? What do I need to do to make sure my account has not been compromised? When I look online it says I haven't purchased anything in the past 30 days!!

 

Advice please.

Any orders will show in your MyO2 so if nothing there it must have been sent in error.

Could this be a clever phishing scam ? 

 

Charge to mobile would show as recent charges and not in my orders 

 

@Anonymous what number did the SMS come from ?

It would show in your MyO2 under the recent changes section though I assume?
Don't follow any links from the sms and log in directly through the app or online to check.

If you haven't bought anything and nothing is showing in My O2 then you can ignore it. If in doubt call them.
