I presumed he meant he was going to make it a sticky so it ran alongside this one

However I could be wrong.....

Float = "make sticky"? Have to think abou that one. Thinking

The proposition that you could be wrong?   Nah - can't grasp that one at all @Cleoriff LOL

Why aren't you off watching the free wheelers setting off?

Gerry

PS I see the Useful Links link appears twice in the board summary now.  I suppose a good thing does bear repitition.

Re  making it a sticky...Not sure that is what Toby meant ...just guessing..

Here is a good explanation,,,,

Make a Topic a Sticky

Sticky topics are a very good way to get your information out about a certain topic. The sticky post will go on top of the board that you post it on. It will remain there until you unsticky it or if you only sticky for a certain amount of days.

Oh and Gerry? As I live in the Midlands...I would not be going off to see the Lycra clad cyclists:smileywink:

It simply means it is "floating" on top of the board. Makes it easier to find as it will stay at the top and not slip down the board as other posts are made. It's the same thing as a "sticky" on other forums but O2 use a different terminology.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Yes - that would be a useful thing but I suppose only the mods can do it.

Oh and Gerry? As I live in the Midlands...I would not be going off to see the Lycra clad cyclists - sure its only a few miles up the road or a short train ride.  (Have to admit I did not go out of my way to see the Italian cyclists when they started their annual Giro d'Italia over here a few weeks ago. I.ve become altogether too sedentary.

Thanks for that @MI5   Wonderful the different terminologies in use in different spheres.  I bet there are times when political parties wish floating voters would stick on one side or other of the fence!
