Transfer of ownership

If I transfer ownership of my number to business,

1) my existing contract is automatically cancelled?

2) can I keep my phone?

3) do I have to change SIM?

I am now in the middle of 24 month contract with phone plan.

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Unfortunately not. If you change the number on the current contract you will lose the original number. It can't be transferred without closing the current account.

You need to call CS on 202 to discuss. I'm not sure you can just switch half way through your contract.

I think you might have to pay off the remainder of your contract to take out a business contract.

If you own the business o2 may (just may) agree to the transfer but the contract would remain in place. No guarantees bit worth asking.

Many thanks for all your replies.

As I do not want to cancel my current contract, is it possible just to change my mobile number under current personal contract and to transfer old number to business account?

To do what you need to do would be best done at the end of your current contract period.
You can then switch to a business account with your current number and take a new personal one if required.
