Sending a text message from a PC to a Mobile Phone.

Hi,

It is possible to send a text message from my PC to a Mobile Phone with O2?

I have heard that with some other Providers this can be done, but I don't know about O2.

If this can be done and O2 permit it, can you please advise me of how to set this up.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Ron.

There are other websites available that allow you to send a text to mobiles. If you search Google you will find them.
I don't use any myself so I cannot recommend any one service in particular.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Forgot to add, if you are on a consumer contract you can install Tugo on your PC and send texts from there....

I have used Mighty Text which utilises your allowance. Sometimes handy especially when sending lengthy texts.

Im not too sure about their privacy policy tho !

"This Privacy Policy describes MightyText's policies and procedures on the collection, use and disclosure of your information. "Text Messages: Our Services are primarily designed to help you share information privately with whom you choose. None of the information is ever made public, unless you explicitly opt-in for that."

Does this mean they can read your text messages ?

A shame its only for Android Platforms.
