I work for the nhs and have just brought the new samsung galaxy s7 edge i went to the o2 open website and read faqs which say

What's the deal, in simple terms?
O2 Open gives customers 25% off airtime plans with 3GB or above data and 15% off airtime plans below 3GB. This is across all Refresh 24 month Pay Monthly voice and Mobile Broadband tariffs.

but o2 says it does not apply to samsung galaxy s7 or s7 edge phone.

I would strongly suggest calling customer service and getting the tariff sorted BEFORE penning an email.
You may be without data service until they actually get back to you otherwise.
I would also suggest making an actual preliminary complaint via www.o2.co.uk/how-to-complain so there is a record on the system of an actual complaint for the review team to actually review.

Well this supposed Open Code thread has taken a real turn.

Personally if Open was still an issue for the OP I would be cancelling my contract and starting over.....making sure next time the phone is actually eligible for open....

Or maybe not after reading through properly. Certainly a complaint via the correct route is the way to go. @Karen196446 appears to have been misinformed at every point...

Advice is given from experience not from an o2 perspective. ...

Well the whole thing is a mess...No open....data sharing ...and the 30gb tariffs ...all coming into the equation.

Made my head spin just reading back in the thread. I can understand how frustrated the op must be..:smileysad:

As I said in my first post, the T&C's should be updated to state any exclusions. If they are not updated, you have every right to the discount so definitely lodge a complaint and follow it through properly.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Hi, got the s7 edge yesterday, was told o2 open couldn't be added. But tried and texted the code. Got this reply this morning "O2 Open: Great news! We have added (my number) to your discounts." Hope this helps.

Good news indeed but O2 really need to make their staff aware about O2 Open and any exclusions.
