O2 Business Trail Blazers - Phishing Email?

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I received an email from O2 Business Trail Blazers, a "new online research community hosted by O2. The email came from support@o2businesstrailblazers.co.uk, didn't reference me by name and the link asked me to confirm my gender and date of birth and would probably have asked for more information had I proceeded.

Could you confirm whether this is just a phishing email?

Thanks,

D...

Hi @Anonymous

Welcome to the Community Forum.

I also sometimes participate in this online research site.

Its safe as far as I'm aware but is at your own discretion if you wish to join. The joining has no connection to your O2 account and asks for no sharing of information such as logging~in info from it. The setting up consists of a person creating a separate password etc.

We're all customers here, but that's what it sounds like. I wouldn't go any further with it. Just delete it.

The site is owned by vision critical research solutions

They are based in Canada but work over here.

They do market research and stuff like that so maybe not a scam, but Internet junk mail

The OP should take a look at his My O2 account to see if he has agreed to receive emails from O2 'partners'. He can uncheck that should he wish to.
