So apparently I had a missed call earlier (didn't) but got a text from a number I don't recognise about upgrading (not due one until March 2016).

With all the talk of "rogue" companies calling on behalf of o2, does anyone recognise the following number:

07860 020394

Should I want to talk to them, or is this very much a dodged bullet?

It's spam - ignore it.
O2 never call from a mobile number.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

yeah, first thing I did was visit google, which is why I thought I'd check if anyone had history with these people.

Looks like that's another number getting added to the ignore list...

If you act on a cold call or an unsolicited text and you get turned over, you have no one to blame but yourself. There are so many articles and warnings about these types of calls. You'd think that after all this time people would wise up, but they don't. We see it time after time on here. Some people just don't learn.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

If you want to upgrade then you need to make the call. Never ever upgrade to someone calling you.
