The "Always on" setting had me going for a while too. It is not an obvious setting. When the status shows "green" on the first screen you assume it is set "on".
If you link onto the original article it is mentioned there but the direct linked article omitted the extra step.
Can't find a similar tool for Chrome.
Your going to have to use a private proxy or Local proxy for other browsers to avoid the o2 proxy
I agree...but WE ALL signed the terms and conditions of service by using the o2 service...So, we have to abide by it...like it or lump it...I wouldnt want to use it for streaming anyway, I only get 3G data allowance and that lasts me all month a few music downloads, emails and surfing. If I streamed video, I would use my 3G within hours, and risk a huge bill from o2 for going over my allowance. Hence I choose to stick to the terms and conditions...Method in the madness...lol
ps, people who do stream on 3G, COMPLETELY knacker (use most available bandwidth) and slow down the service speeds for other o2 users in that area...pretty selfish imo

its other o2 dongle users in your area, whose surfing speeds plummet when dafties who think they know better STREAM 
Hence the selfish part
