Hi,
When I try to use O2's Online Chat facility, it's asking to input an O2 mobile number, which I haven't got as I'm not an O2 customer at present.
How to get around this please?
I'd rather just use the Chat option (so everything's in writing & quick) than call or email (delayed response).

You do have to enter a mobile number. Far better to come here as people here know far more than live chat. Hopefully you are now better informed as to buying the phone from O2.

Hi guys, I just want to add; You can use any UK mobile number when linking to Live Chat, not just O2 ones. @GAT, you can use the number you already use :). We'll look into improving wording there.

I had no idea either. Mind you any query I've ever raised with them has always been an O2 number. Every day's a schoolday as they say
