Hello everyone,
At the beginning of this year, we announced our plans to launch O2 Wifi (O2 blog). I’m pleased to say that things have been progressing smoothly while we’ve been busy testing the service at our stores across the UK.
We now have O2 Wifi running at over 400 of our stores, just a few to go! Feel free to check it out at your local store. We will soon have our hotspot finder, online FAQ’s and account management pages live as well.
We want to make sure that the experience of our customers is top class when they use O2 Wifi. To begin with, I thought it’ll be best to create a single thread, where everyone can discuss actively about O2 Wifi. So, anyone can ask a question related to O2 Wifi, communicate, share experiences with other forum users and provide help & support to our less technical members who may have any troubles with Wifi.
I’ll be providing more updates on O2 Wifi at this thread as things progress further and will also be offering any assistance one requires here. So keep checking back on this sticky for more updates.

O2 Wifi is already live at most of our stores (more than 400 actually across the UK ) So, do try and share your experience or any feedback when you're nearby an O2 store next time. We're planning to introduce this service at various other locations including some big venues. So, watch the space!

Well they're saying they'll have twice as many O2 hotspots as BT Openzone and The Cloud combined by 2013, so it could be very good.
I would like to know whether any method of encryption will be available at these sites?

Thanks for the link. As I've never been able to access BT Openzone, even though it's supposed to be part of my tariff, it will be welcome, if it works. I will believe it when I see it. Why are they offering the service to everyone, even if they're not an O2 customer? Won't that eat into the bandwidth and reduce speeds?
