I have not been able to access emails on the o2 site for a few days now. Is there a problem?

Oh dear.....another company with poor phone service then? (Maybe if you pressed the option to say you were leaving ....someone may answer more quickly?)

To answer can Sky or O2 delete the emails when the service is closed, legally the answer is yes.

O2 have notified that the email service was closing and as such users needed to make alternative arrangements. Most appear to have made alternative arrangements but some (as always) are indicating that they weren't aware.

So now is the time to get a new email account. Try Gmail, yahoo or Hotmail as they are large ones which are likely to remain. Then forward and important emails to your new email account just in case.

O2 webmail now up and running. I suggest emailing all your old emails to your new email address before it disappears again
