I couldn't find a thread or anywhere that gives the detail of the 4G roll out, city by city, so here's what I can find so far.....

Already launched 4G in:

  • London
  • Leeds
  • Bradford
  • Birmingham
  • Coventry
  • Leicester
  • Sheffield
  • Nottingham

And by the end of October it'll be in:

  • Newcastle
  • Glasgow
  • Liverpool
  • Manchester
  • Edinburgh

We can add to it when the info becomes available.....

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

How about some cities in NI? Armagh and Belfast would be nice! Nowhere at all in NI has 4G yet, and 3G coverage isn't all that great and could do with improving!

This thread is more about what we know is happening and has happened, we have no idea of what will happen in the future unfortunately.

O2 rarely give out much advance information, but if there is any news you'll see it here.

Oh, ok. I was only replying to Toby's post on Page 2 about where we would like to see 4G rolled out to.

I'm surprised that nothing has been seen for NI yet, hopefully not too long to wait.

It would be nice if they could sort out basic coverage in all NI areas first. I'm 8 miles from Londonderry & I can't get 2G most of the time let alone 3 or 4G.

extremely annoyed my phone keeps losing its connection since moving to 4G, I have the i9305 and the online help team refuse to believe my s3 supports 4G.  I gave up and ended up playing along with them... I'm steaming right now!

There are two variants to the S3. One variant does work on 4g and one doesn't. Are you able to confirm which you have?

And are you in a full 4g area or are you on the edge on one?
