o2 sim won't work in chinese phone

hi all, i bought a chinese phone, and it reads my sim but dosent allow any network coverage.. o2 say its blocked do i have to go into o2 to show them its not stolen or something?

Hi

It could be sim locked by the Chinese network if used or some regional software on the phone is not compatible in the uk.

O2 won't be able to lift that if it's imei blocked. Only the original network that placed any block can lift it.

Have you tried any other network sim?

If it's country locked, sim locked or IMEI locked I'm afraid you need to take it up with the retailer.

Usually what happens with the Chinese phones is that the imei numbers are cloned and don't allow network access in the UK as they are blocked.
False economy and useless devices tbh.....
